4G LTE data isn't cheap. It is the highest expense of using 4G PoC walkie talkies. Thankfully, our 4G LTE partners offers us a decent LTE rate. and we extend that pricing break to our radio users. As we grow, our LTE partner will offer us a bigger discount, and in turn, we will revise our pricing to reflect cheaper more affordable monthly LTE plan rate. Right now, after the first 30 days, a radio only costs $20.00 a month -- OR you can use your own 4G LTE SIM card or download our app and used our system on your cellphone for only $5.00 a month. Thank you!
This bares a complicated answer. Just know that as long as T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T towers are operational, you will have instant communication. Others advertise that the radios will always work, even during an EMP attack, but this is simply NOT TRUE. The radios require LTE connection to the carriers towers to work. If there is an EMP or a nuke went off somewhere, you have more serious things to worry about. If those events ever happen, you have a better chance at using regular analog radios and not PoC digital systems. If you are underground in a mine or bunker, you may have poor or no connection at all. It is important to understand this. If you are in an area with bad LTE service all around, you may also face performance issues. Verizon Coverage Map, AT&T Coverage Map, and T-Mobile Coverage Map.
The radios automatically switch to the best tower and service provider based on your location. However, we can manually place your device in any of the 3 pools that your prefer.
No. If you have a need to communicate anywhere across the globe, you will need to contact us for the proper SIM card. For a global SIM card, there is an additional fee. You will need to tell us what region the radio user(s) will be in.
A mobile radio is designed for use in vehicles or as a base station, while a handheld radio is designed to be carried around and used on the go.
There is a slight delay because the radios operate off of 4G LTE. When you first turn them on, they need a few moments to connect to the strongest LTE tower near you before use. This normally takes anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds.
No. Our radios run off cellular 4G/5G LTE like cell phones, but they are push to talk walkie talkies that have the range of cell phones.
Yes. They will work anywhere in the United States of America. If you are needing international communications, we can accommodate your request by swapping the sim card out with a global sim.
No. You are paid through for 30 days. When it's time to renew, simply do not renew. If you no longer need the radio and sim card, we will buy it back from you (depending on the condition it is in) for $75 to $125. You MUST send it back for inspection and testing before we make an offer. We need to ensure that it is still functional and not badly damaged.
You will no longer have access to our systems, services, and servers. You will not be able to communicate on our system or use the sim card any longer.
If you are on a monthly / pay as you go plan, if you do not wish to renew, please contact us at least 3 days before your plan is due to expire and we will cancel your plan no questions asked.
No. We recommend these radios to commercial customers, families, security guards, taxi drivers, radio enthusiast, schools, trucking, bus companies, retailers, search and rescue, and the like. As a backup method of communication for emergency services, they are suitable. For daily emergency services communications, we do not recommend it. Just like the new P25 radios, when you first turn them on, they can take up to 20 seconds before they ping the nearest tower and allow you to speak. In police, fire, and EMS, seconds count.
